At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, five Chengdu J-7 aircraft of the PLAAF August 1 aerobatic team, were painted in the five colours of the Olympic rings, and given event mascot logos. The J-7 is the final derivative of the licence built MiG-21 F-13, and still serves in significant numbers with the PLAAF. Soon after the Olympic event, the J-7 was replaced in the August 1 team by the J-10 trainer#

This is the 1/144 Trumpeter kit of the J-7 EB

Although it's a nice little kit and goes together well enough, it does have a few flaws, though they're not insurmountable (see my build thread for more)
And just for comparison, a little further away to show how small thew thing ist!

Cheers. And now, once again, I have to make a post completion modification.
I'd forgotten , from the Ye-2 and Ye-4 builds, how over-tall the undercarriage is, by a couple of mm, which is very obvious in this scale

That is a very mall, very colourful and very eye-catching result. Well done. Interesting background to the aircraft as well.

And now, with a minor modification (2 mm off the undercarriage), I'm really done this time
Definitely

And just for scaling!

Right done now

Still thinking of doing the other four of the Olympic aircraft, but I'll probably just do the basic blue August 1 team for the other J-7EB I've got
Next up though will be an actual MiG-21, an F pre-production aircraft
