In my quest to complete a dozen mini-MiGs for this GB, the latest finished articles. Didn't do a build thread as it would be practically the same as the Ye-2 original one
Except...
Being monumentally unsatisfied with the original Ye-2, despite several subsequent reworks, I've cannibalised the original to make a new one. It's a bit better
The Ye-2s were the earliest prototypes for the MiG-21, with swept wings to test their efficiency against the planned delta, the Ye-4 (done that). The Ye-2A was a subsequent development, equivalent to the delta Ye-5 (to come!) as the Ye-2 was to the Ye-4. Three Ye-2As were later converted into the mixed power interceptor Ye-50 (done that!)
They're small, and far away!
And for those that saw the original Ye-2 build, here's all that's left that wasn't re-used
And the centre section with the wheel bay may also be put to further use in another conversion later
