I have done some work on the Super Troupers (that's film lighting apparently)there will be 4 of them not sure how i am going to put the wires for the leds yet but will think of something.

also did some rough ideaa for whats prob going on the trailer

Thread owner
hi all put lights on hold till I get my new leds so started work on the generator.

Some more brilliant work Ken. The ST's are bright white spot lamps-there are various 'throw' lamps that give a more defined spot or a more wider diffuse spot.

Thanks Si thought I would make the generator quite big as it will have to power a lot of stuff, can't decide whether to make the generator look new or like the dozer as though it's been around a while I think I need something to distract from the dozer as I think I have overdone the weathering on the dozer not sure which way to go yet.

Hi all I think I've finished the generator

just need to make some sort of plugging in area which I will do when I know how many things will need plugging in to it .

Hi all my new leds have turned up. it always tickles me how big the box is they come in

but this time they came with a high quality brochure here are an assortment of pics from said brochure

all very nice so when I want my 30 million pound yachts lighting upgraded I know where to go.

Anyway thats not why I posted this is my simple but not particularly elegant method for lighting the super troupers

take one led

bend thus

make a plasticard tube the size of your chosen batteries. inset 2 batteries place bent led over the plastic tube and onto batteries

insert piece of plastic between the negative pole

light goes out. remove plastic card

light comes on.

now all I have to do is figure out how to get that inside the super troupers, the batteries and led slip in nicely, its figuring out the switch.

I love this build, great work mate! :D

can't wait to it completed :)

oh thats so funny such a big box so they can send they catalog,

a nice little way for doing the power , to the leds,

Hi moni thing is they usually come in boxes like that but that's the first time they sent a brochure and I have to say it is a very high quality brochure thick paper glossy pages and all. Realistically I will never buy any quantity of leds from them but it must have cost them more for the brochure than I paid for the leds

oh how true that is ,but its funny all the same such abig box for so small off things, but on the other hand would not get lost in the mail,

No you're right it does always tickle me though, and of course let's not involve the greenies wast of packaging and wot not

Ok guys and Gall i had got bored of this and was going to put it on the back burner but due to the plane I decided to build to get my mojo back, here I am again (I have decided I dont like planes) so here is what i am up to now

I have painted the logo on one side of the trailer, which at first I thought looked rubbish but then I thought, I don't know a new business, couldn't afford a proper paint job so maybe did it themselves, anyway what it is, is what you got.

then I thought about fishing the lighting I have 2 of these doing the third as we speak, one will be shorter just to add variety.

so thats where i am now.

looking good i do like the lights, ;) as for the name on the food van its fine ,if your not happy with it, just change it to a semi circle

like how the guys lucking about in the dark hall way, whats he up to ?
