HI Kaci i hope to get that on dvd so is the film just called the gumball rally then ? as there was another film called gumball rally 2 which i dint think was very good an another called rat race an i thought they both was pretty slow

Some other memorable car segments for me come from the Dirty Harry and Bullit San Fransisco scenes, and the chases in the Bourne movies.

The actual Cannonball Baker Sea-to-Shining-sea Memorial Trophy Dash from Darien Conn. to LA Ca. was dreamed up by Brock Yates and Steve Smith and was the inspiration for all those films. The actual record is 32 hrs 51mins. held by a professional driver in a Jag XJ-S. The best trip was 35hrs 54mins. over 2863miles with only one fined infraction in a Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona. The winners Brock Yates & Dan Gurney were quoted as saying "at no time did we exceed 175mph., snow in the Rocky Mountains slowed us down. I made a similar drive from Los Angeles, CA. to Cambridge, OH, 2700 plus miles solo. It took 3 days.

Ronin car chases were actual, no CGI or quick edits, speeds exceeded 90mph at times using pro race drivers. Audi 8 gained a lot of respect in my eyes.
