Hi all,

Im just about to apply some decals to one of my models and i just want to confirm that if i do a light spray first over the decal then coat as normal afterwards will that be fine as i don't want to crinkle the decal

Im using Plastikote acrylic clear coat in a rattle can which has been fine just over paint not sure on decals

Hope you guys can help me out!

Many Thanks, Ben.

hi

have'nt used that clear before but i have used tamiya ts13 on my last bike build and what a diaster the decals melted so had too strip it right back to the plastic and start all over again so i would suggest to do what i did second time round and apply the clear in light coats and build it up gradually worked for me

regards

Exactly what i feared, Ill have to try it out to see how it go probably with some spare decals first :)

Many Thanks,Ben

Every decal sheet has some 'spare' decals.

Apply one of these to some scrap plastic, let it set then clearcoat it and see how it reacts.
