Well this is it, finished today. (for information: made a typo in earlier post about scale, should read 1:450)

Got a gunmetal dry-brush on it, fine misting of graphite grey spray (tried to get the rattle can to splatter a bit to simulate a bit of damage on the surface ... bloody thing wouldn't do it so i decanted a drop and flicked it with a stiff brush)

Painted and weathered the F302's got them taking off in the photos (supported by brush bristles) they're 13mm long and 18mm wide to remain in scale.

Here you go then ... comments welcome as per usual

Very, very nice Colin! That's a great scratch build. Very well crafted and great detail, love the F302s, not really watched the series much so I've no idea whether these are aircraft or spacecraft!Spectacular stuff

Well done sir

All the best

Thanks Paul, Andrew :)

Paul, in the series the F302 is an aircraft reverse engineered from alien ship called a death glider. They can travel in and out of our atmosphere.

That's as far as I'm going or I'll sound like some of the geeky guys on the space-forums that seem to think this show is real and argue amongst themselves about hyperdrives and wormholes.

If you ever want a laugh just pay a visit and see how serious they are, worse than some trekkers I know :) :) :)

Ha, ha Colin! I think we all have a bit of geek in us. I'll get my geek on when I get round to building the Warp models Space 1999 eagle transporter,

Anyway, top stuff mate

Thanks guys, I must say, even though its taken an age, this has been a most satisfying build and i'm quite pleased with it.

I can feel a scratch built "starbug" from "reddwarf" coming on :) :) :)

Thanks Andy, you know I've had the large rouge one idea in the back of my mind for years.

Got all the dimensions ... Basically 1000ft to the inch. So a 32 inch model would be an option.

Hmmmmmm ya got me finkin now :) :) :)
