Stopped for the night the old travelling handyman, assistant and faithful hound are pictured in the early morning. The young lad has been told to get a bath which leaves the water a nice dirty scummy grey while the old man watches over breakfast that is cooking on the dying fire. Once finished they will pack up and move on to the next farmstead or town seeking work.

All comments welcome.

Cracking build there Si! Not sure I'd use him to fix anything of mine though looking at the state of that rear wheel!

Gern

Great imagination, great composition and great execution Si. A really nice piece that keeps you interested and looking for more.

Great modelling, I really like this one.

Nice one Si, something refreshingly different. Very well thought out.....even down to the Scale Model bucket!

Great build doodah for you......

Ron

Brilliant what more can I say, another masterpiece from the master.

Superb Si! There's so much to see & every detail looks just right.

This is highest quality & very original modelling. Top job mate.

Great deal of work in that SI. Something I would not attempt not having the means artistically for this subject.

Some very nice work and very interesting detail. The metal on the wheels is that thin steel strips left to start to rust ? And the woodwork on the wagon is very authentic.

Have you got a gallery with all your work Si ?

Laurie

That's a brilliant little diorama! Well done Si.

I missed this build completely, what's the kit? The details are excellent, and you've handled the various textures very nicely indeed.

Great build for sure

No gallery Laurie, not got around to sorting it. The wheels are painted using a a mixture of grey and steel colour with rust pigments over the top.

Hi Paul, the wagon was from Ebay. It was pre-built but needed some work when it arrived, so it was cut, trimmed sanded etc. The other parts are 1/12 scale, figures pre-painted but needed re-doing and shading added. Wagon was painted and weathered using pigments and stains. Fur rugs just old cloth and stained with tea and coffee. I have seen similar wagons and they are going for £50 to £200+ madness! I fell lucky and enjoyed this build very much.
