Me like a lot! :)

Imagine the poor souls that had to do track repairs and similar on a tank in that muddy condition whilst being scared that a Panzer division could swing by any minute... Makes me shrug for sure...
Very realistic I must say so my hat off for you!

Cracking work Jim, I really like the mud effect.
But have you forgot to paint the driver, he looks a little green. But it could be the light.

Thanks Ian, actually the figure is wearing a face scarf (od) will post a close up of him to show it better.

Jim:)

Brilliant Jim. I've always loved your paint work. You could be the armour builder that makes me tackle a tank properly.

Thanks so much Jens, I have encountered such situations of mud caked track repair in my service days, luckily though they were only m113 tracks
I really felt for the tankers though dealing with m60 track links and suspensions totally packed with the most horrendous red mud that dried into a concrete like consistency
and having to deal with it in 100 degree F heat and almost 100% humidity:oops:

You should read "Death Traps" by Belton Y Cooper - who served with the 3rd Armoured Division, and was responsible for the recovery and repair of damaged American tanks. Its fascinating reading and jaw-dropping in places!

Jim:)
Another belter from your workbench Jim, I'm guessing that those tarps are your own creatioms? If so, another one of your tutorials would be pretty amazing??

Thanks John, the tarps are very simple, anyone can make them, I use tissue paper, folded, rolled and tied off.
Soaked in white glue and water then set about where ever wanted, will mold into any shape or vehicle contour.
Let dry for 24hrs, paint, wash, highlight...done;)
