Finished my first ever 1:32 scale kit, it wasn't too bad was expecting a little trouble with it been an Eduard and my past experiences with them.

Anyway here's to details, the engine was painted using Mr Hobby Metal colours, these are great as you can buff them to reach the level of wear you require. The main body was all Tamiya colours, I tried out a tip I was given and stayed at 28PSI with no thinning. To quote my source " it's not the 70's modern airbrushes and paints can cope and don't need to be sprayed at low pressures" I have to be honest it worked for me but realise it may not be everyone's cup of tea :)

I weathered the body with Flory washes, again a first for me and I am really impressed with the results and the way they cover, no need for thinners of any sorts as they are clay based, this also means you could apply them and then return to them several weeks later and with just a damp cloth work on them again. The matt coat was my usual Tamiya Flat Clear.

Hope you like it and comments always welcomed.

Wow Ade that's beautifully done great build and the paintwork and weathering are top notch well done mate cheers John

Nice work, looks awesome . I'm too scared to start my 109. The paint job intimidates me.

Excellent paintwork, the general colour looks really good.

Very well done!

Beauty build Adrian,

so well done with the steel/metal colors paint and weathering, great build lov it :D

Great stuff Adrian, you've inspired me to get on & finish my 1/48 109!

That looks absolutely spot on! Have you caught the large scale bug now? You should have if you can turn out results like this.

I'm doing mine closed up and now I'm wishing that I hadn't :)

Good job on the painting too. I spray at a slightly higher pressure even than your 28 psi for almost all my painting. It definitely makes mottling easier for me, despite the often seen advice to lower the pressure and thin more. I suppose we all have to find what works for us.

Cheers

Steve
