With me leaving the hatch open on my Cromwell tank build. The seat is exposed so I need to find out watch colour the seat would have been. If anyone knows it will be appreciated.

I’m not sure, but I would guess they would be either leather- or canvas-covered. If leather, they would probably be some medium brown, while canvas would as likely be khaki as green, I suppose. I’ve been inside Bovington’s A34 Comet, but I don’t remember the seat colours (assuming they’re originals). Going by this thread on the Armchair General forum, dark brown seems like a good choice:
This is the bow gunner’s seat, which seems to be more original than the driver’s seat visible in another picture on that same site.
As an aside:
That’s the hatch you have to crawl through to get inside the tank, and that would be fairly easy if it weren’t for that bulkhead you can see at the right top of the first photo. Because of that bulkhead, though, you have to twist in awkward ways to get your body through.
