Hi folks a glorious day in the history of the world....... my 1/35 dora rail gun arrived today along with my 1/32 warhog which will be my next project. I have waited 18 months for big d and she is big, the box is 4ft long and it weighs 59.95lbs.

59lbs is a lot of plastic, how many pints of cement will you need? How many gallons of paint?

i will take pics tomorrow after work and post them in the latest acquisitions thread for all to see.

OK you got my attention as well.

Andy. the reason its so heavy is I believe that most of the kit is resin and there are a few metal bits as well.

Scott. I hope we can look forwards to a build thread on this one.

Ye gods you're a brave man for tackling that thing!

I'm curious as to how many pieces it's made up of?

Scott heres some decals for this beast...Peddinghaus-Decals PDH1538 Dora Railway Gun Markings (PDH1538) GreatModels Webstore

I also found that Ambroid proweld is the best glue to use.The hoist pulleys need to have 4 lines, not the 1 that the instructions show.

i was thinking about using hot melt glue can anyone tell me if this would work.
