Paul was kind enough to let me enter with this slightly started Tomcat kit...
I bought it when they first came out (about 10 years ago now?) and it's one of these kits I've fiddled with over the years, pulled it out of the stash, looked at it, put it away again etc - you know how it is. I built the cockpit probably when I first got it, but couldn't really get into it for some reason. A couple of years ago I started painting said cockpit but again put it away again... From what I've read this is a fantastic build, and the Tomcat is a favourite of mine, so why I never really got into it who knows - hopefully this GB will change that.
Here are the sprues etc. As you can see most of the kit is still on them. The only thing I've lost is the colour call out sheet. I have a feeling it's in a book somewhere marking a page, so hopefully I'll find it whilst skipping out my modelling lair before I get started - there's a fair few empty grog bottles to shift.
And this is where I've got to so far, pretty minimal stuff. I can't actually remember what that grey was now I look at it - I think I was in a bit of boozy haze when I painted it.
As I said above, I need to skip out the lair quickly and I'll get right on it. Glad to be part of the GB.

Oh and a bit of Ambience whilst we're building - perfect for these dark and star filled nights.
