Dave, nice work.
There's certainly lots of deck fittings that's for sure.

Ship construction is always a very time consuming, slow detailed affair - And that's before the rigging starts!

Ron,
rigging? who said anything about rigging? :rolling: , AND I've all the boats to add ( 10 )

Ron,
you're right, I have to make some effort in that direction - a problem is that the topmasts are very spindly, and rigging will tend to bend them!

Truly impressive thus far. I think I would use fine wire for rigging rather than thread as masts do look very delicate. PaulE

I knew I had another stalled model somewhere..................... after a bit of a rummage, I found it decanted in another box.
It's the Revell 1/350 Emden ( or Dresden ), no box, or instructionsView attachment 323434
The instructions I can download from the Revell website - now I am torn between finishing the Varyag, or the Emden!

I assembled the masts - I had difficulty in getting them lined up, and when fitted to the hull -
they're not vertical

I'll have to do a bit of fettling to get them plumb. What is evident that there will be no possibility of rigging from mast to mast, the topmasts are just too thin. I'll take the masts off for the moment, they're very fragile, and have loads of points that catch everywhere.
