Hi,

Can anyone tell me where i can get hold of a waterslide decal printer within the UK?

I have seen some called alps printer and a variation made by citizen called a printiva.

you all probably know about them already but you can print 'white' and true metallic colours with these.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I have seen them available from Hong Kong and the states but would rather source one in the UK if possible.

Thanks

Rob

I've been looking for one of these for a while, but if you do find one they aren't cheap, look for a pantone printer, they have a white cartridge, if you do find something I would be interested to know where to get one too.

My understanding is that ALPS went tits up. Service and ink supply will continue as long as possible with a date set to 2015 as being "the end".

I have seen that some one was working up white ink for an Epson printer, that was in 2010. It was for an undisclosed model, and would need to be a 100% unused print head.

If it has been buried, run out of funding, or dropped I have not seen any info on.

I would of thought that a laser printer would of been a better candidate. laser toner is after all a plastic and you can get that in white!!! So if you are reading this Mr HP, or Canon or anyone that makes laser printers for that matter. You are missing a pretty large market!!! Get ya finger out!!!

Will do, thanks for the heads up on the pantone printer ill check them out.

i do a lot of waterslide decals using an inkjet printer but they are no good against dark colours. i also have a vinyl cutter that i use for white or metallics but i cant go too small with this.

cheers
