Hi, does anyone know the colour paint reference (or colour mix) used on RAF Tornados cammo'd for Operation Desert Storm in the early 1990's?

Hi Edgar, many thanks for that info. will be building a Tornado IDS version when I've finished my Tornado GR1! I like to plan ahead and get prepared. Cheers, Ivor

There is an article about desert weathering/painting in Fine Scale Modeler April 2012. It's about tanks though. Dunno if the paint colours were the same for tanks as aircraft. He uses Tamiya Desert Yellow XF-59 and added lemon yellow X8 as he did not think it looked yellow enough. Sorry if this is not relevant or of no use!

I know the Army (mainly SAS) cammode their jeeps in a pinkish colour (pink panthers), but the Humbrol 250 from Edgar looks close for aircraft use.
