I require a good quality desk light as I'm struggling to see detail now. Please would you guys recommend or suggest a product.

Alan I can recommend the Lifemax range. They are available from many outlets such as Amazon

But I'd also recommend these LED bulbs from Minisun, this is an example bayonet fitting although they do all types
