Please, could anyone help with an address, website, phone no. etc. of suppliers of dummy "blue flashing beacons and two tone horn(s)" and "route number, route info, destination blinds" etc. decals, all in 1.76 scale as I intend to detail an "Oxford AEC Regent Fire Engine LFB" and one or two 1.76 scale London bus's types RT and RM. Many thanks. Steve.

I would be having a look at the electronics available for model railways nowadays with the thought of how I could adapt some things to suit what you are after. As for sounds there are a couple of boat units which can be recorded onto by thoise familiar enough with computers to give you a sound unit that contains all the sounds you want. One of these is the latest Graupner unit and the other is a product by Model Solutions of Canada. You wouldn't get these inside a 1/76th scale model though so they would have to be built into a diorama base.

I hope this gives you at least some thoughts.

Thanks for your replies but I feel that I need to clarify my question in my first post. I just want non-working roof mounted blue flashing beacons and if possible non working roof mounted two tone horns that I can attach to my Oxford Diecast AEC Regent Fire Apliance LFB in 1.76 scale and the details of any decal specialist who makes London Transport bus destination blinds also in 1.76 scale. Both models will be detailed in the "late 60" period. Hope this helps and thanks for your previous replies. Steve.

As suggested above your best sources would be the model rail fraternity.

Have a browse around Model Rail Forum - Model Railway News, Reviews & Resources and use the search.

Another place to look would be Fox Transfers

Hannants - Plastic model kits and accessories may prove useful also.

For the two tone horns you could use Diesel Loco horns.
