“Don’t vote, it only encourages them!”
Sir William Connolly (AKA The Big Yin)
You could have asked for a postal vote, they cost you nothing except the ink in your pen and a walk to the post box. You can even spoil your vote and that would be counted.WELL we are not votein as ive a fair way to go to our selckted pollin stainion an i dont think any of them are worth my vote an im not goin to waste my time an petrol on them lot
I wish we had that choice in the UK.you have the choice to say “none of the above”.
As do I.I wish we had that choice in the UK.
Pete
 :smiling::smiling::smiling::smiling: yes very true Jim thats why im not botherin an what you said gave me a good laugh :smiling::smiling::smiling: an i liked that pic of what someone put on of a slurry cart sayin this is full of politacal promises lolWell I think all our politicians, from whatever party, are decent, honest, trustworthy people who have our best interests at heart. I know that because they've told me so in their leaflets, on TV and sometimes in person.
I'm now going out into the garden to watch the flocks of pigs flying over my house. :rolling::rolling:
YES John you are so right but i'll let all the others vote an save my timeOf course we could unfortunately live in Russia, where you have no say , so be grateful you can vote.
Done mine Chris, went for a postal vote a couple of local elections ago, far better.YES John you are so right but i'll let all the others vote an save my time
You do: just ensure the ballot is incorrect. Select more people than you’re allowed to, for example, or write something on it that’s not supposed to be there. Exact rules for what makes a ballot (in)valid vary by jurisdiction, of course, but here in the Netherlands it is as soon as anything more has happened than colouring in one and only one of the boxes using a red pencil. For “none of these people” you just colour in two or more boxes, or you write something on the sheet — like “I don’t want to vote for any of these people” — or draw a smiley face on it. Any of this makes it invalid and thus, a vote for nobody.I wish we had that choice in the UK.
But what if the nearest mailbox is next to the polling station? You could have asked for a postal vote,
That's different though Jakko, a spoiled ballot just shows the voter's laziness, whereas a "none of the above" vote would indicate the voter's dissatisfaction with all the candidates. You do: just ensure the ballot is incorrect.
