I had just finished my dalpol evening star tender and i had put a top coat of gloss varnish on and left i overnight and my horror i found this (see pic) can this be cured or will i have to get a new set of decels,all paint i am using is humbrol acrylic.

Ouch!

I believe the technical term for this is "Naff".

In all honesty, I would take them off and get some new ones.

If the emblem in the centre can be saved, maybe paint the coach stripes.

Thanks i think new decels will be the way to go but i will try somthing else and see what happens.

Its already been varnished. That would just be a waste of time and Micro sol/set.

Peter, as you've been able to peel off some of the dross, it could still be worth having a go with micro sol.

When I do my decals, I cut as close as I can to the actual colours, thus removing any excess film before dipping in water. No help now I realise, but worth trying in the future.
