I was just wondering how many of you guys had heard of my dad Steve Cruickshank Snr (or BARV) as he's known to others on other web sites & shows etc.

For you who don't he was well known on Armorama & Military Modeling for his scratch build models.

I'm not sure if there is a scratch build section on here.

Some people have heard the name but but don't know the face.

hi, I don't know if it was your dad that done a MAN 8x8 recovery truck, i was watching the thread on this being done, when my computer gave up, i was hoping to get all my sites back, i have got most of my site's back, but i have never got this thread back yet, and i can't remember how i got it in the first place, but the thread was the best that i have seen in a long time, if it is your dad, do you have a site that i could look at, and see if it was it. thanks alex

hi steve, just to let you know that i found the site i was looking for, and it was your dad, sorry for your loss, he was one hell of a scratch builder and will be missed. alex

I do know of this late great scratch builder. I had arranged through communication on Armorama to meet up and introduce myself to him at the Scottish Nats a couple years back, saw he was busy with others on a couple of occasions when I visited his table and unfortunately that was the last chance I had, as I recall he passed shortly afterwards. Wish I'd hung around.
