i opened up my 1:72 scale Italeri Huey model box, and put the sprues out nice and neat the other day, checked everything was there, and placed it all back in the box till today.

I get the sprues all out, read instructions and begin the cockpit, with loads of very fine work!

Then suddenly i think, wheres the clear sprue? I hunt everywhere, in the box, my paint box, the bench, under the bench, in the tree, the local park and even in the Mir Spacestation, but can i find them?

Just annoyed now, as i was looking forward to making this diorama in a rice paddy! AND id done a stand up job on the tiny cockpit!!

you havnt checked Mars, it could easily have taken flight there, ive often lost bits and I'm sure they are on Mars its the only logical explanation

I've lost a WW1 Airfix 1/72 horse and it's brought a rather large dioarama to a halt I refuse to carry on until it returns. I'm patiently waiting he's been AWOL for about six months.

I hope your clear parts turn up soon .View attachment 123996

I'd suggest checking a beef lasagne for the missing horse

I've lost the decals of my c6 which is why that's on hold, I've found a set of undercarage which I can't find a model for them, maybe someone has your clear parts but is missing some undercarage, you don't happen to have a set of c6 decals that have appeared somehow out of nowhere, you don't live anywhere near the Bermuda triangle do you.

This is creepy.

I found a partial horse in my Macdonalds Burger, and a set of decals i habe no idea what for too!!

I got one like that it was in a group build at the begining of year i lost the canopy looked every where in the bins under the carpet and in the cat not found it yet

Snap! I bought a Mitchell kit some years ago. I KNOW the canopy was there 'cos I had to ask how to clean off some permanent marker which the previous owner had used for the framing (IPA works perfectly!). When I put it up for sale; no canopy - so it went for less than half what I'd paid. :(

The decals didn't have a review counter and speedo in them did they the horse wasn't a race horse was it, I heard they lost one a few years ago.

Come to think of it it had a kinda rouge Rum flavour......

No the decals were of an F1 variety i believe

I lose a small part of almost every kit I have built. It is there and firmly in the grip of the tweezers. Then ping it heads off into some part of the room and never to be seen again. There are times when a loco on my layout goes off the track or stalls and there is a small bit of plastic on the line ...which kit did it come from will never be known.

Dave, you haven't checked Uranus! ;) :D :D

I was re scribing some panels and chrome bits on my Chevy Impala with a nice pointy scalpal blade tonight in my armchair watching Joanna lumley talking about Elvis and suddenly the blade dropped out of my grasp and disappeared, I'm blowed if I can find it, my wife had a look too. I've searched between here and Pluto and still can't find it, I reckon Donald duck has scarpered off with it!

You probably have enough 'pinged off ' bits to built a new model or two! Might be a good idea for a future group build!
