Looks great, very dynamic. How did you do the water? Liking the ripples from the downdraft! (y) ;)
Thanks for the kind comments.
Not having any "specialized" diorama goodies I used stuff from around the house and general modelling supplies.
The sea is simply kitchen roll ripped up into irregular shapes and saturated with clear parts glue. The ripples are rolled up pieces of kitchen roll which were then saturated with glue again and blended in with a stiff brush - one advantage is you can manipulate the soggy mess to give swirls, teddy's and currents.
Then painted with cheap craft paints in loads of colours, when dry 2 further coats of pva glue and then uv resin for the shine. Finished off with white silicone applied with a spatula and tugged upwards when half dry on the crests.

That is a great dio. You have every reason to be pleased with what you have achieved.

Stefan, a real beauty mate. The Sea King looks fantastic, I know you battled a bit with it that kit. Well worth the fight, because it's turned out very nicely indeed. The sea scape with the ripples and space equipment is nicely done. A very dramatic and historic moment in time captured superbly.

You can see a Sea King coded 66 on the USS Hornet in San Francisco, representing the original 66 which was written off in an accident in later years.

I did see a video of a walkaround of the aircraft on the USS Hornet which proved very helpful for colours etc.
