Interior received a very light dirtying up and everything in position although both pilots feet are nowhere near the pedals. Ballast hot glued into tail just in case.
Now to join the 3 part fuselage - not looking forward to this.

Hi all,
Well it's been nigh on a year since I updated this build.
Fell out of love with this due to an absolutely awful fit of fuselage halves with the floor and interior bulkhead, more than likely due to operator error as this is the first wingy/spinny thing I have built. Thought I had made a reasonable adjustment of the fuselage UNTIL I tried to fit the cockpit glazing which is awfully out of alignment.
So it either went to the chopper graveyard or make the best of a bad situation and I am too tight to chuck money away sooooooo here's progress so far.

Been working on the Command Module.
Cut out the 3 windows as none provided in the kit, currently waiting for the Microclear to cure before tinting them blue. Some extra bits and pieces fitted and painted to add interest. Then 9 decals to apply.
When that's all done it has to be extremely weathered after travelling at 25000 MPH from 400000 feet decelerating to 15 MPH at splashdown after generating temperatures of 3000 degrees Centigrade during re- entry - makes a mockery of car exhaust heat staining.
Wish me luck.

Old 66 3/4 completed, not at all happy with the fit of the cockpit glazing - probably my fault due to inexperience with flying things.
Burnt up Command Module Columbia with flotation devices.
Hope to finish this week before a week's holiday.

Great work Stefan, looking fwd to the finish , Matron has shown an interest!
Thank you young man, don't know whether to scared or not of THE MATRON.
I'm having to do quite alot of modifications to the seascape and it's taking for ever to dry so, unfortunately, I doubt that it will be finished until after my holiday.
