This will be a slow for me build got the kit and photo etch from Eduard last year I usually do aircraft or small ships I have made a start got the hull together and all the internal hanger deck detail the front lift is partially raised so I did some detail work on the underside just been fitting the catwalks to the side of the deck later I'll fit the catwalk supports some of the main once are included but I'll have to scratch the finer stuff don't want to go above flight deck height yet as I plan on marking the hull paint demarcation by turning upside down and using a scribing block with a very thin pen fitted to it

I'm using tamiya acrylics throughout I'll do a bit of weathering but not much any comments or advice most welcome

Roger

Just seen this one Roger and a great start
Thanks it's going very quickly because I'm off work till Monday it's a big model for me and I'm struggling with order of build at some point I'll have to mask the deck and airbrush the white lines might do that next

Thanks Derek I do love these 350 scale ship kits just wish I could get the paintwork in the correct order I find I'm forever masking spent about 5 hours yesterday just on the catwalks each side of the flight deck

I was going to do this in splinter camo but chickened out so I'll save that for my hms warspite build

Very neat PE Roger, keep up the good work. You have probably found that shipbuilding on this forum is a lonely road. Derek

Yes it is lonely but what the heck it's a fun drive I really do like the 350th scale ships I want to do an Essex class carrier soon but trumpeter one has a very inaccurate hull shape

Done most of the railings and built the crane still loads more to do next up fit all the ammo racks for the quad gun at rear and the twin guns on the catwalks

I have built all the single barrel orlikon guns 22 in total so far the carpet monster hasn't been hungry :)

Just finished assembling the Orlikon single barrel weapons very small and fiddly

Never ever take dragon instructions for granted I was fitting the 8 twin mount guns to the catwalks and I ran out of guns lol instructions say 8 but 9 are needed luckily they do supply enough spares to build the last one that will teach me not to check

Not built a ship for a while. You are pushing me over the edge into adding one to this years projects.
