Just back after the day trip to Duxford, what a fantastic place, we spent over 7 hours there and I could have spent another 7 just taking photos, I wont post too many on here as I'm sure a few of you have already been, I did take lots of landing gear, cockpit type shots for reference for my later builds and was so over the moon with seeing the Avro Lancaster and Anson in the same hanger I went mad and snap well over 100 poics on these two alone !!!!

If you've never been and you can get there its more than worth the entry price, I've never seen so many Spitfires in one place, I was a little upset that the P-51s I wanted to see were away in the back having work done , but the one in the American hanger made up for it, oh and the Memphis Belle rebuild in one hanger made everyone gasp and run back when there was what I think was a sort of pre start humming noise from the engine the engineer was working on !!!!!

I'm going to down load my camera now and perhaps create a gallery so people can browse at there leisure.

I think I know how you feel. I've been to the museum and the September airshow. An amazing experience.

I've been there many times Adrian, you just can't get enough of the place. When I visited last year I took over 100 shots just of the P47D which really paid dividends when building my Jug. I look forward to the Gallery Photos.

I know what you mean, We had a fantastic day out, and could have really done with a couple of days to do it justice. I loved the whole thing, but the first impression going into the US hanger is wow..as you realise they have managed to get a B52 in there (stand under the wing and you really appreciate how big the bloody thing is) And touching the Blackbird made my hair stand on end! especially when i realised it's the actual one that set the height record.

..oh and being able to go on Concorde...and walking through the comet (still the most beautiful airliner ever)...i could go on all day!
