Afternoon all, hope your elasticated trousers are still working.:thumb2:

A week or so ago i was in the attic sorting out the xmas decorations and at the same time decided to go right through the stash. Oh my god, that took ages and really opened my eyes lol

Despite selling kits there's still too many to ever build, where i have i read that before lol  , kits on racking plus more in boxs, stored all over the place, plus about 10 battleships inc the ones i had recently from the charity shop.

So i have decided to change things, from now i will only build StuG's and there support vehicles, this might be a shock to some! Plus excuse the pun change course and build battleships, i have always liked the power and majesty of the battleship and have a large library of books, warship pictorial, Squadron, anatomy of a ship, plus dedicated books on classes of battleships etc. Mr boatman has seen the photos as he thinks all this is one big wind up lol. Told you so Chris!:tongue-out3:

Have about 20 plus armour and plane kits to sell and there will be more. About time i got to grips, no more new armour kits apart from the 1/16 StuG from trumpy and hopefully ones in the future with full interior??

Want to clear the decks,( another pun lol ) and have 4 amour to complete plus 7 in states of paint etc. These will be finished before i start on the first ship, already have one chosen. Have been doing research and will have some build questions for some poor soul lol

Bob

Nice idea Bob. I wonder if this resolve will last until February  To be honest, I recently did this and sold off all of my stashed railway kits. The majority were etch or white metal and had been in my old loft for at least 15 years.....turned out some of them were rare and sought after. I’ve now got enough “modelling money” to last me a couple of years.

It will Tim ( i hope ) !

There must be about a fair bit of money to come in after selling plus i have extras as well to go. One of the kits had a invoice from 2004! There just sitting there.

Was shocked by the number of ships as well. So of to evilbay they go!

I keep saying I'll do something similar, not with model kits of course but with stuff from previous hobbies.

I have a stash of car audio equipment in the loft. Not your run of the mill kit but hand assembled classic American stuff from the mid 90's, in original packaging and museum condition.

They could keep me in model heaven for many years if I could bare to part with them!

Its either this or risk the floorboards! The money from selling will pay to get another smaller booth to make one larger enough to fit a long ship like the Hood in.

Ideal time now to get things sorted

Good idea Bob, I had a large collection of advertising tins, some motor related tinned stuff, oil cans , puncture repair tins, and several large signs. Used to have some in the old cave and the remainder at work .Put 90% in a sale, only kept the really small apprentice tins used by travelling sales men and all tins relating to the Royal Family.
Was hard to make the decision, but once done I was glad.

Got to be done John, otherwise they will be in the stash this time next year!
