Here are some photos of my build of the Eduard 1/48 Spitfire IIa (weekend edition). I built as part of the Spitfire 90th anniversary GB but was very late in finishing it due to various reasons. Anyway here it is, built straight from the box and I must say it’s a lovely kit and goes together very well. I brush painted it with Hataka and AK acrylics and finished it with Vallejo varnish and Flory models wash. The decals were a bit delicate, and I did not feel the need to peel off the top layer after putting them on, which is possible and give reportedly a better effect. I’m reasonably pleased with the result, and I certainly learned a lot for my next build!
