discussion Eduard: A good company

Just wanted to put a good word out for eduard.

I lost one of the doors for my 1/48 P-39. I thought it would be worth a try e-mailing eduard to see if i could buy a spare sprue.

They replied within a few days saying that if i purchased it off their website, they would send a spare free of charge, but if i baught it from a shop i would have to send them a scan of the reciept and pay for the spare part. Seems fair enough.

Unfortunatly i got the kit from a private seller, i told them this and their reply was simply. "whats your address"

And today in the post, a nice little package from eduard containing the sprue i needed. No invoice or anything.

Its nice to know there are still companies like this out there. Just thought i would put in a good word.

funnily enough i bought an eduard 1/16 schwimwagon last week. And i have to say, for the money, it is amazing value. Photo etch, rubber tyres, almost flash free parts...easily on a par with Tamiya if not better. I hope and pray they release more in my scale. Great to hear they have good PR too.

.BTW... the schwimwagon kit is listed by some rip off merchants on fleabay for over £70. Its proper retail value is about £30 (Incredible bargain!) and is available here-

Always nice to see a manufacturer going that extra mile for their customers, thats what makes their reputation and keeps them in business too. Word of mouth recommendation is the best advertising anyone could ask for and it's free.

And for Eduard, the show of appreciation for your efforts on here has to be even better.
