Experimenting with Black and White

I decided to go exploring inside my picture programs, on the off chance I may find something useful. I feel I have and I wanted to give a go at a crude form of black and white adjustments for some of my pictures, to try to capture that "historical" essence.

I'm not sure how well these will work because they always seem to look a bit different from when I first tweaked them, from when they appear on line.

I think the second photo (FW190 ) is best. It has some grainy effect, the others look a little too clean for the era. Nice pics all the same :)

I tried something similar Steve with a Panzer II, and increased the contrast & brightness, aiming for that overexposed look of WW2 photos

Its subjective to personal taste, but I like how it looks.
