Just to prove I don't just do silver RAF biplanes, here's the Fairey Battle prototype, in the configuration for it's roll-out, 10 March 1936 at Great West Aerodrome






Yes, this is, indeed the OLD airfix kit, in as old a boxing as I could find cheap. It's often been said the kit is really the prototype, but I can assure you all it's not!
This required extensive de-rivetting, adding interior detail, making a new set of the deeply strange undercarriage legs, cutting down the rear canopy, then a careful multi-metal paint job to replicate the pictures. Apart from the interior scratchery, the only addition was a spinner, as ever a spare off a Ju.88
