If anyone wants the, hilarious and semi-apochryphal tale of the Kamchatka, star of the voyage of the Second Pacific Squadron from Kronstadt to their destruction at the battle of Tsushima in 1905, I highly recommend Drachinifels piece on Youtube. There's a black comedy TV show in the Kamchatka story...

Fairy Kikkaku kits are nice obscure subjects, though difficult to hunt down, and they have a weird layout; every ship has a three-part hull, even the tiny tug Svir included in the kit. Most of the ships' boats were replaced with Combrig items, and the crew figures are, I think, Lion Roar

So naturally, having wanted a Kamchatka for years, six months after I finally picked this up from NNT in Germany, a 3D print version was released
Oh well

Uploading pictures is NOT straightforward on my new Chromebook, but I think after two days working at it I've a consistent method. This one should've been the first one posted!

Here's a halfway build pic

So, the white and blue resin bits are from the kit, as is the boat-deck base, the brown bit. The boats are mostly Combrig, as they have detail while the kit parts are just slabs. Likewise the two fore-deck cranes. Crows next and ventilators are from my copious Seals Models spares, as are the guns. Railings are Starling and Gold Medal. I wish I could find some more robust stuff (I know it's out there!). Masts and davits are brass rod. Rigging is my Albion Alloys steel rod
