Hi, Richard,

I saw your work, I believe it is very necessary for beginners and nonspecialists mainly, indeed.When I found this new Falconer´s link, I remember you.But, you know, I meant this link as a help for old sailing ship model builders mainly.They need more often forgotten terms from the times when ships were made from wood, but the men from steel. "A dictionary od Sea Terms" by A. Ansted could be very helpful too,sorely I din´t found any link.

I collect the rare ship terms some years ago too, but i never finished this my work.There wasn´t interest anyway, as there in our country there are sorely several old ship modellers only.

Tom, some of the very old ship terminology is very interesting and any book on the subject is worth reading. It is surprising just how many of the words we still use at sea today stemmed from things hundreds of years ago.
