50, this is leaps and bounds better than your previous good diorama. you are getting the idea of rubble and I like the moss (bushes) you have added.

Two thing that will be of help....The Stug would be better painted Dk. yellow with dk. green/dk. brown cammo, or if you don't fancy that just yet a Dk. grey is O.K.

Secondly, take the figures off their little bases and put blu-tak on their boots, clear a bit of rubble away and they will stick to your base board then replace the rubble around their feet.

I hope these suggestions don't give you a bit of a downer....I am trying to help and encourage you in every way I can as I can see you have a talent emerging and you will only get better with each build.

I like this a lot, but I'm a bit confused about the colours. Your Stug looks to be grey/blue on my screen. Is that due to your camera and lighting?

PS I second Spanners comment about the bases on the figures. It would look much better without them.

Have to agree that this one is far better than the first, in fact it is streets ahead in creativity. The use of differing materials to create the terrain and the use of various heights has made the whole thing much more realistic and interesting. This is just great, well done.

I apologise for suggesting a change of colour for the Stug.... On my screen the colours look like grey and a light blue. Sorry John.

That's really good John. A dio tells a story in miniature & puts the viewer there and that's working well here. I can't wait to see your next one! A tip regarding the figure bases, if you've got a mini-drill, put a small hole in the soldiers feet, then use plastic rod to make little pegs which will help fix them to your base & look more natural. Good stuff! Patrick

Hi 50 just found this and i like it it is looking good the only thing i see and this is by no means a criticism on your hard work is the bases that you have left on your figures i would remove them and bed them in with the ground work or PVA them after the ground work is completed. Other than that mate i like it well done and keep up the good work.

A quick tip for your next one, when you are putting the clay onto the base, incorporate some stones into the clay leaving 1/2 of the stone poking through and you will be pleasantly surprised by the finish .

So whats next on the bench?
