discussion Free downloadable 2D drawing program

Hi all,

As above - I'm looking for this to assist arranging dioramas... I don't wanna have to go and get a degree in computing to use it, all I need are basic shapes and the ability to move em around and twist / rotate them. Paint is a bit simplistic and drawing in word is a bit of a faff...

have heard of a program called gimp but i am not sure if it is more for photo editing like adobe photoshop,worth a google search

I have Gimp ive just had a look on it and it is more the photo editing side of software.

A program that ive used before and is easy to use is Corel Draw

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 - Professional Graphic Design Software

Its a trial but im sure you'll be able to get hold of the older versions

Hi, this is a 3d drawing program but is really fantastic and has somewhat revolutionised home cad drawing. I use this to design projects in my professional life.

google sketchup 8.........and its free.
