I think we are finally ready for a coat of primer ........... All the body parts are done and rubbed down with a fine grit........ Let's see what the primer highlights for some work.

I had to seal the front luggage compartment cover (Is it a boot or a bonnet when the engine is in the back ???) The hinge design was rubbish and it kept wobbling around and slipping forward.

Thanks Ian...... much appreciated.
Keep going mate can't wait to see it finished, like Robert I had this motor framed on my wall as a kid along with a Porsche 959, the red arrows, a Lancaster bomber, Christy Turlington and Sam Fox... Only one was designed to constantly have its top down

I'm close to the finish line now Phil ....... I lost track of how many hours I spent on this one.

The colour coat is on ........ Not a bad finish. There are a couple of dust particles it has picked up  I'll let it cook off for a couple of days then flat down with a very fine finishing pad ....... A couple of decals then a couple of gloss laquer .... See if I can get a shine to it...............

I am getting proper hacked off with this kit............ I should never have bothered with a part built kit in the first place.

I've finished the paint on the bodywork with a couple of coats of clear laquer and it looks pretty good. ................. and the drivers side door hinge has jammed and snapped off at the pivot under the front wing. So that leaves me with either doors fixed open or doors fixed closed. and I've found a tiny patch on each side on the lower windscreen that hasn't painted properly. I guess it was covered by the front of the doors in the upright position, so now I have to try to paint those in by hand ............ I have all the light fittings and vents done so it's all ready for the finally assembly............

......... But right now I fell like chucking the lot in the bin. :(

Don't let it beat you now. Your on the home straight with the finish line in sight. It looks great and with just a few more hours work will be completed and will look great I'm sure. So chin up and get it done. Eagerly awaiting the finished result and as I'm sure all the hardwork and patience will eventually pay off.

You must be joking! It still looks great, you have done a good job buddy. Once it's all polished up and the doors done it will be fine

Heh Peter

Just rescanned all you progress on this and well what can I say? Blinking right on the nose on every way, I like the gunnie colour ( are tyou polishing up or leave as is ( either way will look great )

Never throw anything in the bin as you will always regret it later!! I tried that with a 1/48 spit vb once from bad paintwork and finish but I had to pay another £20 to get it right in a new kit ( my wife stil nags me about that)

So as the other chaps have said chin up ( remove a couple of pins to let off the steam have a night off a few beers or a whiskey ( I drink malt just for future ref) and then with clear head go back to Lamborghini and finish her the way you planned

Job done!

Few cans in the bin

Whiskey drank

Lambo complete

Everyone's a winner

Go for it Peter

Regards

Robert

( ps forget my medication today o_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O:confused::confused:
