I posted before about living near Biggin Hill, so I see something interesting occasionally.
Tonight was a bit different: at about 6.30pm, a flight of four different military helicopters flew right over the house, in a diamond formation. My spotting skills aren't great, and they were in silhouette, but one was a Seaking, there was another, bigger Seaking-shaped chopper at the rear, and two smaller machines on each side.
Then, half an hour later they came back. This time the four were in the diamond again, but ahead of them was a biplane, and ahead of the biplane was a fifth heli. Amazing!
This time I could clearly see an orange Seaking, and the others in the usual green.
Does anyone know have an idea what was going on? Maybe they were practising for an airshow?
I wish I had grabbed my camera, but I took the binoculars instead.
