discussion Fw190 "alderflugal" decal application concerns

I am building tamiya's 1/48 scale fw 190 f8. I plan on decaling it as fw 190 a-1 10/jg2. I will be using eagle decals set (ec#128) for this project i am concerned that i may run into problems applying the eagle wing emblem over the engine exhaust panels molded into the fusalage sides as the louvered panel details seem quite deep. Has anyone out there applied this decal successfully for this particular situation? If so, can you share your experience with me?

Hi Tom,I'm a long way from my books and computer at the moment and I can't remember the pattern of JG2's "eagle" or whether it was one of those with a coloured border. I have managed to mask and spray them succesfully in the past. If you can't get the decal how you want it that may be an option.
