Hi all I did away with my old pc when I got my new tablet. With pam being incapacitated at the moment and being unable (or to be honest feeling guilty doing models in front of her )( seems a bit uncaring) I thought I would have a go at a game or two. All the pc games I used to play only seem availiable with in app purchases (I assume you can't complete the game without them) so how much on average do you have to spend to complete a game (I assume more than the cost of buying the game or they would just sell the game) the only game I used to play without any was KOTOR which I've just played through all the others seem to have in app purchases, so how much more is it going to cost me to complete the game and which are the worst for it.

it is possible to finish games without purchasing extras but it will take a lot longer.

The in app purchases do vary from game to game.

as far as I know all games can be finished without them, but not using them can make playing much harder and longer.

I play a couple: Temple Run 2 there is no need at all for the in app purchases, you can acquire crystals easily enough in the game to not buy.

Forge of empires, in app purchases are not essential, and I haven't but a lot do and it makes the game easier and faster to make progress.

Apart from those I bought Scrabble, and have a completely free spider solitaire and cribbage.

As said you can play without paying for in game content but you will normally only use small change should you succumb .

you can have a look and if you think it too much, you can cancel before you pay...

Generally I try to avoid in-app purchases, but I did cough up about £30 on Evolution:Battle for Utopia.

Considering the price of PC or console games & the time it occupied me, I consider it a fair price.

Thanks for all the replys, maybe I will dip my toe in the water, any suggestions on a good game of the mass effect or kotor type ( no I can't get mass effect, not avaliable in my area apparently, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)

best thing to do is try the game. If it is hard to progress through the game move on to another one.
