Had this sitting in the stash for a while and finally got round to it.
The Gecko kit represents a Scimitar 2 as deployed to the Gulf around 2012 complete with additional standoff "bar armour".
The kit is pretty well engineered with a decent parts breakdown and excellent fit. The only real criticism I've got is with the track links
which are EXTREMELY fragile and prone to breakage when removing from the sprue - they could have had better attachment points.
The paint job is SMS British Light Stone No.61 which sprays well and is a good match - It dries darker and more brown than the liquid in the bottle
would indicate.
Figures are adapted MasterBox British infantry as several contemporary pictures show the crew in the infantry style helmets
All in all a nice addition to my Gulf era British kit.
Looking forward to the Spartan release.
