Nearly ready for primer

Just got the photo-etch seatbelts to attach before dropping the seats into place.

Then I’ll be masking and fitting the cockpit canopies before priming.
Everything else has been cleaned up and is ready to go.

I had to cut the gun barrels off one of them to clean up the wing seams but will replace them with hypodermic syringe needles, I may do that with the other one too.

The painting is progressing nicely

Most of the bits and bobs done, just the props and spinners to do.

This one is nearly done as the scheme is all over RLM.76. I just have the exhausts to mask off and paint plus the tail wheel.

A bit more needed with this one, upper camo colours then the dreaded mottling. I’ve never tackled mottling before so that should be fun

More progress to report

The painting has been completed, the mottling looks reasonably ok I think and the transfers are on.




The transfers were horrible the carrier film looks cloudy and the transfers themselves had a tendency to break up with the slightest touch.
I’ve left quite a few of the smaller stencils off as they looked more unsightly than actually adding anything.

Clear coat next then a bit of weathering, thanks for looking

Looking great Geoff. Shame about the decals but like you I left most of the smaller stencil ones off. More trouble than they are worth.
