discussion German uniform question

I'm putting a motorcycle on my dio and I've just looked at the decals and I've got the insignia for ss now would the coverall they wore be in the black of the general ss or would it have been in the standard infantry colour?

Also would the bike be black?

Not an authority on this by any means but all the motorcycles I've seen (pictures and museums) have been grey.

I've seen grey and black uniformed riders.

I was intending to add a BMW to a panzer dio, hence a bit of research was done ... Pointless in the end as I didn't use the bike due to space restrictions on the base

*edit* I should say grey for Europe jobbies, Africa stuff was tan/sand coloured.

The bike would be a BMW in standard field grey, also the uniforms would be grey or the Normandy camo scheme. The coverall is a dark green.

I have seen a couple of colour variations, one is a dark grey/black colour but most seem to be the dark green coverall. The Zundapp should look okay in that setting...not good as the SS are now on the scene.

That dark grey one might be from an ss panzer division,

And no it's not good that's why the officer has arrived to find out what he wants

Yeah, go with that one, will add to the menace of the SS turning up.
