Graeme's Dragon Panther D Kursk 1943

Thanks for the support Guys, the tools & spare tracks are on, one of the turret numbers looks a bit different to the others, the outline looks a bit thicker, not sure why as they are from the same set. I'll just have to live with it as I don't have any more.

In real life turret numbers were rarely identical if hand painted on in the field. Your model now has realistic individual character

Rick & Steve, thanks, There's a bit more work to do yet, the weathering will be light & mostly dust on the hull & turret. Plenty of time to do it now as work has closed due to the coronavirus, staying home will drive me mad with boredom, but we have to do it.

A bit of weathering has been done, a brown wash & mig pigments, light dust & dark mud mixed. A few oil patches & fuel spills have been added, as well as a few muddy patches, to represent someone walking with muddy boots. The one thing I forgot was the tow ropes, something that would have seen a lot of use on Panthers at Kursk! I had a Karaya set 'in stock'.

Rick & Steven, thanks for the kind words, a bit more to do, a matt coat to seal the weathering & the tow cables to paint.

I'm calling the Panther finished, The matt varnish coat is done & the tow cables are on.
