discussion Green Algae

Hi all,

Had to clean out the fish the other day and as I have neglected them for the last couple of weeks the tank has had quite a bit of Green Algae populate the tank ( the one like cotton wool)

I suddenly had a eureka moment and wondered if I dry this out could it be used in some way as foliage etc?

Its drying out as I speak in the shed but whilst I wait has anyone ever used or heard of using dried algae for such a purpose?

A good use is to add it to your dio then cover the whole lot in scenic water make a nice river scene.
