Not done much modelling lately, as been busy with personal stuff.

Today on returning from a hospital appointment for my elderly mother, found some gutless low-life has stolen my disabled wife's mobility scooter from our home while we were there.

Being in a communal block of 4 one bedroomed flats, we had to leave it in the communal area just outside our front door as the flats are very small.

We have two really great neighbours that are very supportive, and one drug addled moron who thinks it his right to leave all the communal doors open, for his dog to wander wherever it wants.

Several months ago we caught him with one of our other neighbours computer, which he had placed on the floor outside his flat while he was moving some furniture. He openly admitted he had it, but as it was on the floor he thought it had been thrown away, and anyway it wasn't any good so he can have it back.

He and his cronies come and go at all times of day and night and don't give a hoot to anyone else. The communal area stinks of dog and hash all the time, and although all this has been reported to both the council and the police, (who visit regularly) he is still here. When confronted about items going missing, he always comes back with the comment it's opportunists.

The fact that he and his cronies are the ones who leave the place insecure doesn't seem to register. (or maybe it does)

We have a good idea who the guilty party is but just can't prove it.

The police have made it clear that as the communal area was insecure, it would be impossible to prove who has taken the scooter. The insurance company haven't responded as yet, but have intimated the same about not being in a secure area.

The said police will visit in the next 2-4 days to take a statement!!

Just gutted for my wife who often has to rely on it when her condition is flaring up.

One up side is the response on some of my Local Face-Book sites after posting the photo's of the missing scooter. The positive support has been amazing from complete strangers, just proves there are some really good people out there.

Sorry for the rant, just had to get it off my chest before I blow!

Gregg

Gregg you have every right to be upset and vent. Feel bad for your Wife, hope the insurance gets it sorted for her quickly!

Gregg i feel for you mate, and a shite response from the police, as an ex copper i would have thought they would still have made a better effort than that. I hope you get it sorted soon and that the insurance company honour there end of the contract

That's bad news Gregg, hoping it gets resolved one way or another very soon.

Gutted for you Gregg I get so angry about these things , I think this country needs to wake up and see what's happening to normal descent people instead of listening to to the sob story's of low life's , the council should do something about the druggy who makes the communal area insecure , mind you the argument would be he's the victim of drugs it's not his fault

I hope you get it sorted mate I really do.

Ohh! I feel for you Gregg. Just hope you get it sorted or resolved soon.

There really are some low life's about these days, I feel sorry for you're wife people like that need to have something similar happen to them sounds to me like you're suspicions are correct (assuming they are the same as mine) druggies will steal anything for their next fix. There is too much poor druggies attitude in this country, everyone knows the consequences of taking them and no one forces them to take them. Hope it all gets sorted and the council kick him out.

They're scum, pure & simple! Put em all on an island to rot is my solution.

Best wishes to you & your family Gregg, here's hoping it gets sorted asap.

I feel for you Gregg, smack heads seem to be getting away with more and more in recent times, we've got quite a few in our area...nasty specimens!!!

Could the council not rehouse you to a slightly bigger property, so that your wife's scooter could be stored indoors?

Let's just hope they catch the nasty b*****d that done this...may they burn in hell!:mad:

Best wishes to you all.

Lee :)

P. S. ...and the police wonder why so many people take things into their own hands?

oh i hate bad news Gregg, hoping it gets resolved one way or another very soon, for you and your wife,

i will just not say what i think ,better that way

Sorry to read of the scooter theft Gregg.....

Unfortunately this is yet another example of the gutter tribe who think everyone else's property is theirs to take almost as a right.....

They know, spaced out or not, that nothing will happen to them should they get caught, because all the do gooders, liberal thinkers and our pussy footed government will blame 'The social climate' or such like for the behaviour of these degenerates, and just slap their wrists.......

Wrong!! Brussels wouldn't allow even that!

I hope everything can be sorted quickly...The ray of light is the great response from strangers, so that's a positive, and a bit of a tonic for you and your lady.

Ron

I am so sorry to hear that Gregg. Some people just have no idea regarding other people and just do as they please... Keep badgering the insurance, it may get you somewhere...insurance and banks are my too major hates...time for another...

Take care and my best to your wife too, others are thinking of you both.

Si:)

Hi Gregg my suggestion is wait until something of theirs is left there and then allow it to disappear if you get my drift. These people are scum bags and have no care for anyone else, I hope this gets resolved but log everything that happens with them and report every incident that goes on with them and keep a log. If you do this you stand a much better chance of something being done about them.

scott

So sorry to hear your misfortune Gregg, hope it gets sorted and your wife gets another scooter. As for the scum who took it , I like to think that Karma will catch up with them sooner or later and they get what they deserve, in the meantime I'd echo scotts suggestion and make a log of everything that goes on , it makes a stronger case when youre reporting them to the council , cheers tony

I would suggest check with the police daily make a nuisance of yourself. I had a bike stolen when I lived in Stevenage (the very first brand new motorbike I ever bought so there was a lot of pride involved there) I could not afford fully comp insurance and so only took out third party so got nothing from the insurance I called into the police station every day for a month and was told every day "we will let you know if we find it" well on moved back to Sudbury some years later then moved to Glemsford, where I received a letter from Stevenage police station saying they had my bike and if I did not collect it within the next month they would scrap it. So I went with my mate in his van to collect it, and you won't believe this is was told they didn't have it, luckily I took the letter they sent me with me and showed it to the officer and they had another look and found it.

It had been found 2 days after it had been stolen, this dispite the fact I went into the station every day for a month to ask if they had found it. She was in a sorry state, but I have to say when I got her home charged the battery and put petrol in her she started first time. I can even remember the number plate YER 249T she was a YAM rd 100. The police recon it was stolen by someone who had been to the Knebworth festival to get home as it was found only 5 miles away.

So as I said make a nuisance of yourself because you never know you might be lucky.

I agree making a log is fine but you have to report everything to both the council and the police so they can see its genuine

I really hope you get this sorted

sorry to hear about the theft hope got sorted asap, just annoys me how low some people will go, hope they get caught there low-lifes

The worst thing is, even if they got caught, we are the ones who will pay for their holidays, commonly called prison.

I'd really like to go back to medieval times and public display of people like this, so you can throw rotten vegetables at them. If prison and fines seem not to work, so maybe public humiliation will work?
