Hmmm. You mention Halfords plastic primer. I recently bought a large can of "primer" (see photo).\ said:I don't know that it's the same, but I leave the Halfords plastic primer until the next day, that is about 24 hours, before I rub it down and apply other paint.

Good. That's what I hoped. Thanks. Anyone else using the ordinary primer?\ said:That's the one I always use, never had any issues with any of the colours I buy.

Steve Halfords do 3 different ones, one is for plastic, one for metal and that one which is an all around use. Its the one I use as well and never had a problem with it! Unlike the others though I give it an hour then I sand and paint over it, never had a problem\ said:Hmmm. You mention Halfords plastic primer. I recently bought a large can of "primer" (see photo).
Is this OK for what we do?
What's the difference?
I have done a little priming using it, and overpainted with Tamiya Synthetic Lacquer (TS range). Is that OK?
Should I ditch the can and buy the "plastic primer" for future use?

Considering the quality of the work you do Steve, that workbench seems a bit - well - empty?\ said:Hmmm. You mention Halfords plastic primer. I recently bought a large can of "primer" (see photo).

Thanks for the compliment. However, I model very slowly so my output is about 10% of the average on this forum. Yes it is empty, and now very clean!. The family came for Easter. My modelling being in the dining room I had to make room on the modelling desk for the cheeseboard and the wine while they were here, so no modelling for the last ten days. I have taken the opportunity to clean the area which much needed it. Back to modelling today.\ said:Considering the quality of the work you do Steve, that workbench seems a bit - well - empty?![]()
