Interesting programme, this one. It's a translated version of a 2011 Russian TV doc about The Great Patriotic War. Last night's episode focussed on the air war, so loads of shots of IL2s, Yaks etc. The Russians lost over 20,000 aircraft!

There was also footage of a pilot climbing into a plane that looked exactly like a Hurricane - it only showed the rear fuselage and canopy, but I can't think what other plane it could be.

Havent been watching it tony , ive only got freeview- DOH!!! The soviets were supplied with many allied aircraft , including hurricanes (which they actually disliked) spitfires,p39's ,p 47's and a whole load of others cheers tony
