Hi mates!!

Here comes my latest workbench-product. It's the second of four (Doras not Borg ;) ) of my "Sachsenbergschwarm" in 1/32 scale. The kit comes from Hasegawa......absolutely great!! It shows the "Red 4", flown by Lt. Karl-Heinz Hoffmann.

I used a conversion kit from Montex to change the D-9 into D-11.

The most obvious differences are the armament (no guns above the engine, 2x MK 108 in the wings, some D-11 also had a motor cannon that fired through the spinner) the engine size and the propeller.

Brake hoses from craft wire at the main landing gear. Colours from Vallejo, Revell, Gunze and Model Master. Decals from the kit and Eagle Cals.......and the next "Dora" is already under construction..!!! :D

Cheers

Stefan:)

Stefan, that's really nice mate. You've done a cracking job on that conversion!

Top quality

Cheers

Phil

Cracking build there Stefan ( true perfection )

Really like this "Dora " lovely paintwork and nice clean build

I read somewhere I'm certain that these aircraft flew to protect the ME262s on take off and landing ( I may be wrong though ( dint shoot me )

Kind regards

Robert

Thanks for your comments, mates. I'm pleased that you like my "Dora". :)

Robert, you're absolutely right. The four Doras of the "Sachsenbergschwarm" were responsible to protect the Me 262 turbos of "JV44" on takeoff and landing.

:)
