Wait for it......wonder which council will be the first to put it into policy despite having no helicopters!

Very lucky to be alive and not just the pilot those guys on the ground came close , and all in the name of consumerism ( oops i mean christmas )

Saw this on the morning news.

Lucky escape for all.

Seems like the wire stopped the blades, so what caused the accident also saved the day.

Glad no one was hurt, but I had to chuckle at one of the comments posted on YouTube....

"Dear Santa, can I have a new helicopter for Christmas!"

Poor old pilot as well. Bet he is after a new job now.

We all make mistakes & it appears he made a big one at the wrong time & wrong place. Rotten way to get the headlines all over the world.
