Hi all well this kit is deffo going to be a challenge the frame is full of sink holes and seams also the tank and side panels are moulded in two halves have no locating pins and are warped to hell.

I have glued some tabs to one half and am hoping that the wont foul on anything when it comes to putting it on, and also that it will help with lining everything up, fingers crossed

I do I wish I still had one, but as my missus says I would probably be dead now if I had one. I know when I think back I was very lucky, I risked life and limb on a daily basis as a yougster, I remember one occasion I was racing with a friend of mine who knew the road better than me and past him only to realise he slowed down as he knew the road, I flew past him to meet a 90 degree corner (luckily there was a open gateway to a farmers field which I flew through at about 50) that was sacarey even at 22 ish (I told him my throttle got stuck) I did some truly stupid things on bikes I should be dead and I think I've always had an angel on my back (regarding bikes anyway) and I've owned bike which now would be considered classics and worth a fortune like swapping a Vincent black shadow for a BSA C15 (couldn't afford the insurance at the time due to a stupid accident) I even had a raliegh runabout, some of you may laugh but I paid 2 quid for it, you look up what they go for now or an x7 see what they go for now. If only I knew what they were worth when I had them, come to that even cars god, I've had cars which if I kept and sold now would probably make me a millionaire.

there are no decals in this kit for the paint work, instead there are these handy moulded lines

Handy that is if you want to do it as the box art, not if you want something different so I had so sand all those off.

I did much the same Ken ........ When I lived in Southampton. Just out side of the city there was a village. One day I'm tearing down a lane and there was a 90 degree bend. There was no way I was going to make it. right In front was a house with an open five bar gate. I shot up their drive turned around and came back out. There was a woman in the front garden doing gardening stuff. She just carried on and didn't raise an eyebrow, like it was a regular occurrence...... I did wonder how many gates she had lost before she decided it was best to just leave them open:D

........ and I had an X7 my first real bike when I was 17, a Blue one and I can still remember the registration number AMX 688T ......... I bought it new, and some toerag nicked it 3 months after I got it.

Hi all here is another update on this pig of a kit, it really is no where near the quality of the La Reale the chain is so warped I'm not even going to try to correct it the axles are not going to allow the wheels to rotate and even if they did it wouldnt last long, Why cant kit manufacturers get together and combine all the good thing they all do, then we would end up with fantastic kits.

I really hope the CB 750 K1 is not the same as this.

Cheers glad you like it, for me it's the kit from hell everything is either twisted or poor fitting.

Well after retrieving the bike from its unscheduled flight across the room (it must be fairly aerodynamic as no breakages just some unguleing) and searching, took me nearly half an hour to find the back of the rear caliper, and almost as long to get it back on, since it's all installed on the rear wheel. I've decided to cut the top length of the chain off as it was so warped I couldn't get the chain guard on, and with the guard in place no one will see the chain anyway. I'm having a bit of a chill out now, before I battle with this kit again. I am determined to win though, I will take no injured in this battle its win or die.
