I reckon I ought to introduce myself. I see some familiar names (and models) and you all are very friendly and build great models. My name is Neil aka Ace aka Essex and a few other names best forgotten. I live on el Rancho de Los Corralitos near Freedom, California which is surrounded by apple orchards by Monterey Bay.

I've built models since 1969 when I got a 1/32 scale Triumph TR4 kit (with a very tiny fiddly engine). I never actually grew up and stopped building. I still struggle with each and every model (especially painting car bodies) and  I'm very impressed with the models I've seen here.

Now I am gonna blow the dust off these two stalled models and finish them!  Thanks.

Hi Niel and welcome from somewhere which is nowhere near as nice as where you are.

Brierley Hill, Near Dudley where i'm surrounded by factory units, and the only bay we have is "yo bay" - which would take some explaining.  :D

Welcome Neil, I will wait to see these models when completed, they very good so far.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I did not mention that Corralitos, which is on the central coast, is home to a lot of rattlesnakes and gangsters ( I've encountered both) so it isn't as idyllic as it sounds!

Ah, yes... my pop worked in Watsonville in the early '90s, and he and mom lived in La Selva Beach.
